Services Selection Board · Ground Testing Officer tasks

Three minutes, ten obstacles, your order.

Two GTO tasks, rebuilt as playable drills. Plan a route, run it against the clock, and read the debrief the way an assessor would: not just what you cleared, but the judgment behind the sequence you chose.

Task one

Individual Obstacle Course

10 obstacles 3 minutes 55 points base
  • Set your own sequence before the whistle, then live with it or change it under the clock.
  • Every obstacle has its own drill: timing, balance or grip-and-pull.
  • Stamina drains as you go, so the order you chose actually costs you something.
  • Repeats count only once all ten are behind you.

Task two

Balli-Fatta Bridging

6 layouts Plank · balli · rope · decoys 5 rules
  • Bridge the gap with the helping materials and whatever the ground gives you.
  • Real 3D physics you can orbit: an unsupported span tips, an overloaded lever drops you.
  • The five GTO rules are checked as you build, and a broken rule is called on the spot.
  • Solve it, then see whether you solved it the way the distance rule wanted.

A training and familiarisation tool, not an official simulation. Obstacle types, gap dimensions and the finer points of the rules vary between SSB centres and change over time; treat the numbers here as representative rather than authoritative.
